[15.5] Pipette pick repair kit / ammo
If you use the pipette tool (Q key on default) over a damaged wall, i get a wall.
I suggest, that the pipette always gives a repair kit for a damaged object, and only the object itself, if no repair kit available. (analog: using pipette on empty turret and getting ammunition from inventory)

In the exact same manner the pipette tool could pick ammunition from the inventory when applied to a empty turret

Hmmm, yes, however, now I am starting to get second thoughts about all these suggestions. Since the tool is called a "pipette tool", I think it should be limited to this function.
If it is to become a universal "game should guess what I want to do" tool, then it should be renamed accordingly.
However, such a major change should be considered carefully.

It acts already now in that way: use it on a coal patch, you get a mining drill (if you have electric, than electric, else coal).
Its only consequent to add this funcitonality.

I don't agree with your logic.diederTheBeater wrote:It acts already now in that way: use it on a coal patch, you get a mining drill (if you have electric, than electric, else coal).

When using the pipette tool on an ore patch, there is nothing to copy into your hand, because the player cannot place ore patches. In this case, the tool cannot act as a pipette tool.
However, in the case of a damaged wall, damaged building or a turret with no ammo, the "pipette tool" could act as its name suggests.
Therefore, these two cases cannot be put on the same level.

but in this case it also doesnt act as a pipette, even though its the same tool -> there can also be other cases where it doesnt act like a pipette.

+1 to pipette tool pulling repair packs
Re: [15.5] Pipette pick repair kit / ammo
Well that would break the normal behaviour of it selecting walls/turrets or whatever it is that is damaged. It would be easier to just put repair packs in toolbar slot 1. Then you can just press 1.Slayn25 wrote:+1 to pipette tool pulling repair packs

Put it in the options menu: so players could get that feature if they want it, but others who don't like it don't have to use it.
