I'm new to the game, and relied on Autosaves. I thought they were different for each world. (I was wrong). My cousin and I lost around 17 hours progress. Which is a huge bummer because we dont have alot of time to spend together.
SO I'm wondering if there is any good way to run a full backup of the map where the autosaves are saved? I increased the number of autosaves to 3500 as a temporary fix. But I'm wondering if there is any scripts or programs I can have running in the background that will do this for me. The built in windows function doesn't seem to be able to do what I want. I'd prefer to have the outcome as a .zip folder.
What I want done tldr
Save world folder every 10 minutes.
Compress/store in .zip with date/time specific so that each backup is uniquely named.
Automated preferable. I couldn't find alot on google, except they just said "Use windows backup". I can't find anywhere where I can select 1 folder for that backup, without interfering with my current backup system.
halp pls :>
How do I make regular backups?
Re: How do I make regular backups?
Uh, is there a reason you can't use the menu option to save the game whenever you need to? Perhaps like when you decide to leave the game?

I can't always save before going afk and then I want the last save when the last person left the server. I only want the content we've been working on, and not a killed base because noone was active.Mr. Tact wrote:Uh, is there a reason you can't use the menu option to save the game whenever you need to? Thx for the reply though.
