[LOCK ME] [SOLVED] v0.15 refuses to work

I posted about this in the steam forums and someone there told me to post about it here, After fiddling with the steam settings a bit I eventually managed to get v0.15 working for a short while after unchecking the "Steam Sync" option which someone recommended to me.

I reported an issue with the boilers/engines in v0.15 because I didn't realize they had been changed and then realized something was missing from my game, the mod that I usually use all the time which is squeekthrough so I went to the mod portal to see what mods had been updated within the past few hours, to ensure the maximum compatibility I didn't want any mods from before the v0.15 release in case a few things had changed and they needed patching.

I ended up downloading SqueekThrough and Color Coding (allows you to zone the area's of your factory with different color lights and concrete etc.) and backed out to the main menu so that the game could reload and nothing happened the game closed and wouldn't re-open/reload.

So because I had recently installed the mods and activated the HD graphics I decided to revert those changes by removing the mods by hand from the Users/xxx/appdata/roaming/factorio filepath also removing the mods-list.json or whatever the name of that file is so that a new modless list could be written on the game loading (which it does even though the game does not technically load) and removed the sonfig.ini file so a new file could be written to revert any changed option back to their original state, neither of these worked so I tried a fresh install and deleting all system files and again still nothing. So I reverted the game back to v0.14.22 (my original version before updating) and loaded the game and it worked perfectly fine. So I updated to v0.14.23 in case the updates had to be applied incrementally, loaded the game up again and it worked perfectly fine no issues. So I updated it to v0.15 again which had previously worked and nothing the game refuses to load again.

Even tried the experimental branch and that doesn't work either, Please find in the code boxes below (inside the spoilers) my factorio log's.

Both logs are from 0.14.23, do you have one from 0.15? Does the game show the loading screen with the progress bar or nothing at all? Do you get an error message?

Just tried to get a new log file and it won't write the new file it's still displays as v0.14.23 and no I didn't get any error messages.

Do you use Trend Micro antivirus/security or Razer Synapse?

If you have Razer Synapse then close it, if you have Trend Micro then read this thread. Otherwise, what antivirus / security do you have installed, or any other software that might interfere with Factorio (e.g. OSD overlay software)?

Ok turns out I had anti-malware/virus programs (malware bytes, ByteFence AntiMalware and Comodo Cloud Antivirus) and I removed them all (will find a singular replacement soon, know any decent ones?) and the game actually started to load in v0.15 but then I ran into another problem (not sure if I should create a separate thread for it though).

Try to use 0.15.1, it solves this issue.

Ok game updated and works fine now thankfully :) hopefully it stays this way :)
