The stand alone version works for me, but not the steam version (same crash others have reported) Running on Linux x64 (Ubuntu 16.04).

I'm not the guy you quoted, but I deleted my mod folder on my Steam install and it still crashes at the same point with the same error. So the mod thing is not the issue for the Steam side of things.

Startup issue is probably Win-specific. Managed to start on my mac (OSX 10.11 - Steam-version). Quite a nice surprise (goodbye sleep/work-week)

What platform are you using? Most of us got problem running the game. (win10 and ubuntu on steam)

I disabled Steam cloud, and removed all my saves, then the game loaded for me, perhaps someone else could try this and verify? - Win 10, X64, Steam
