No real progress today because of a hard day at office.
I'm thinking about re-planning the current code structure.
It just gets messy way too fast.

I'm currently working on a tool that will allow everyone to create mods for Factorio without having to learn any of the complicated stuff.

OK. I'm rewriting the code.
I will document it while writing it and I will plan things a bit better.
It's a fall back but once I reached the state that I had before re-writing FMCS the development will progress faster.
I hope nobody is too pissed about this decision.
I will post here again once I reached the old state.

A rewrite and cleanup of an codebase is nothing bad, it even tends do be a good decision overall because it makes coding easier and more pleasant, and for such a project it's important that it doesn't feel clunky, its your "toy" overall.
Keep up the good work, and don't be afraid of rewrites thats a quite normal thing to do when a codebase is getting bigger and more complicated

FMCS will contain an audio and image converter.
got some nice libraries and found some old code of mine regarding audio manipulation.

I'm interested in trying out your IDE, however it looks like your source repository no longer exists on GitHub. Is there anywhere I can download this and try it out?

Did the developer quit out on this? I was really liking how this was going, his github 404's the link. Hope he didn't abandon this.
