When you finish all non infinite research, you still trigger the achievement. A dev said so weeks ago, can't remember where.

I have had that feeling sometimes with Kerbal Space program. Now I am going to wait that all necessary mods will be updated. Then I have to decide if I try to migrate my current large trainworld or begin a new game. It takes at least hundred hours before I get railworld working with Bob's and Angel's mods and now I have feeling that I prefer late game playing. On the other hand, I want to try new research at some time and I have done all relevant research in my current game.
