Show Local Time Option (Advanced)

Hey,

I started using Factorio in Fullscreen and it is nice but sometimes I miss having a local time (would be nice to have both server time and local time) show on my screen. It would appear right next to FPS/UPS when you have that view enabled.

I would be happy if these options were in Advanced View (F4) but they could also be included in regular options..

I would like to help you, but sadly I did not find the thread where some explained what tools can be used to display the time as overlay into the current screen.

Aka: there are already solutions.

Well why use external shitty programs that might contain spyware if it can just be easily added? I mean that's probably a few lines of code..

Play the game in WINDOW MODE make it Scale Fullscreen voila.. theres the time.
Teamspeak uses OVERWOLF its a very clever Tool quite handy to configure and have a good design.

I also would like to see the game time(24h) of a factorio game.
If activated like the fps(debug menu) even better.

I know there is a mod but mods are no go in the current state of the game when playing multiplayer.

Exactly my thoughts. For people who play only or almost only multiplayer, mods are out of the way. Even if I played single player why get a mod for something that is so elemental. Really digging the game time and local time as something you could add under the UPS/FPS bar. I know games that have this and is very nice. Going back to people talking about getting apps/mods.. Imagine if your computer/phone OS did not come with a clock or some other basic programs and you had to download them from who knows where.. Yeah, perhaps they are legit, but they also can be shitty or shady and on top of it there is the loss of time..So why not include it already right?

your phone uses an APP for that bad excample. but i get what you want in here!
still. you can just use windowed screen than you have the local time.

mods effecting the server and others. so i sugguest you install a clientside program.

I think I'll write an article about time and the problems involved when you want to use it in a mod in an deterministic game engine.
