Inflated download numbers?

The number of downloads shown for a mod on the "main search" and the mod page are much higher than the downloads of the only version of the mod. I hope that this is just a bug and not some kind of exploit.

The mod has been present for 2 months, Erdbeerbaer updated it a few hours ago and deleted the older versions. The download count you see also includes these deleted versions, although they are not available anymore.

If you check the "German Factorissimo 2" mod it tells you that it was only uploaded a few hours ago with the 2.0.0 version the only version available, that's why the download count on that one is the same as on the Downloads page.
