I have found if I lend my computer to a friend to play at my house with, and they log in to steam (we both own Factorio) that if we choose to play multiplayer it will not let me in as it has my name on both computer in the game, making impromptu game sessions impossible. it says (name of player) is already joined. If anyone knows how to swap the name on one of the computers that would be awesome.
Thanks

Go to Options --> Other and change the Factorio username there. If you want to join using the Browse Public Games feature or the server requires user verification it will ask you to enter the password for the new username. If you only want to play a LAN game you can deactivate the 'Verify User Identity' checkbox when starting a game, this will allow you to join with any name as long as no other player already uses that name, and it doesn't require any internet connection.

Re: Can not lend computer to steam user to play game with
Thanks, this was so easy, yet so confusing, any other game Ive played like this from steam always swapped the entire account if someone else used the computer (logged in as them). Now I can have LAN games without requiring people to bring their computers first.
Edit: spelling.
