I'd like to see this in the form of a mirror function for blueprints. So not just rotating when placing one, but also x and y axis mirrorring.

Not everything can be mirrored at the moment... (chemical plants, for example)

sry for bump, but i think it would work if those items are excluded from this feature, or just getting a red warn to know which object wont be symmetric at all, just to position, when confirming the blueprint. (btw, i think just items with 2 pipe in's depending on the recipt wouldn't work, all the rest would work just perfectly.)

I remembered just a very old post: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2569&p=19252&hilit=iornament#p19252

This software (iOrnament) is really cool and I recommend it very much, cause you can learn a lot of about ornaments. Not all types of ornaments can be made with Factorio, but still a lot.
