Storage Problems

Once in a while after playing for a bit on a world, I tend to have massive rows of steel chests full of random things that I honestly don't need, but I keep anyway. So my suggestion is a bigger chest, maybe a 2x2 steel chest or a warehouse that can store a lot of items in a space with relative cost. I understand there are a few mod's for this, but I feel there should be something in the vanilla game.

You do know you can destroy a chest by pointing at it with your mouse and pressing C, right?
I know that's not the solution you're looking for, but this has been suggeted a billion times anyway.

Even better idea is having an incinerator to burn items at the cost of more pollution and some fuel/electricity.
