Adding Photos to Forum
Adding Photos to Forum
How do you add a photo to these forums, using the Img tool when making a new forum. Also if there is a different way you have to do it when you reply to a forum how do you do that?
Re: Adding Photos to Forum
Do you mean your avatar picture or pictures in a post?
I guess pics for posting: you can add up to 3 images per post, just look below, when you write a post, it is self explaining; if not look into phpbb-doc or ask here.
Or you add your pic to some free hosters like imgur or so, and link your pic with the IMG-tag (you see it at the top of the text-window when you write a post). This is also explained quite well on the phpbb-webpage.

Re: Adding Photos to Forum
I want to add them from my Hard Drive
Re: Adding Photos to Forum
You have to host your pictures on a website first. I created an account on imgur.com
Then you use the link to the image inside the code like this in your post such as

nee, oh nee...
Step by step documentation how to upload pics directly into this forum, avoiding 3rd party pic uploaders
To follow this doc click on "Postreply" now!
You will see something like this:
Scroll down the text box until you see this
You see the folder "upload attachment".
Open that folder.
The following dialog for uploading a picture is more or less self explaining. If not, please follow these instructions:
https://www.phpbb.com/support/documenta ... ttachments
After uploading, you can insert your pic into the text, if you click on "Place inline".
The advantage of uploading into the forum is, that the pics don't get lost over the time.
You can upload up to three pics per post and the size of the image is limited somehow, you will find it out; if so, reduce the pic size, 800x600 should be enough for most cases.

Re: Adding Photos to Forum
Not exactly matched with the topic, but How to prevent avatars from bluring ? I've created exactly 90x90 but it looks different after uploading. There must be some kind of postprocessing or scaling. Me sad
Oops. Attached files behave same way... Must be compression. Nevemind. Bug fixing is more important.
Me stupid. It was Ctrl+PLUS.
