[14.21] Factorio disactivates keyboard

This is somewhat frustrating. First of all, I haven't observed any repeatable patterns in game behaviour -- this means that a bug cannot be easily reproduced. Moreover, I am not 100% faulty behaviour is really caused by Factorio itself. Anyway.

My rig is Lenovo Y700. That's an 8GB modern laptop -- I bought it a mere 1 year ago. It works fine and I am generally happy with it. Most of my time I would spend on tinkering with webpages and programming but gaming also has its share. Last four weeks I spent playing ADOM and Factorio.

With the former I had ~150 hours and it works just fine. The game would never halt / grind the laptop.

Factorio is another kettle of fish. It would randomly -- sometimes after 15 minutes, sometimes after 2 hours of playing, sometimes it would just work fine though -- it would, I say, disable my keyboard. I.e. the keyboard will not respond and it pertains not only to Factorio but also to other applications as well. Pressed keys would not show up in the text editor nor in Firefox in the URL input. All I can do is to reboot the computer but it won't reboot, too -- i.e. it would say it halts the system but it won't halt it; I need to make a hard reboot by holding the power on button for 10 seconds or longer.

Factorio runs in windowed mode, if it matters, on Windows 10.

Has anyone ever had similar issues?
