Code: Select all

23.675 code:6, 6; Could not resolve host: auth.factorio.com
is suggesting that you have a problem with your DNS, you should check your network settings and if possible replace your ISPs DNS with the one from google (8.8.8.8).

Lets test if it works:

Code: Select all

open the command window (win+r -> cmd -> enter)
nslookup -> enter
auth.factorio.com -> enter
post a screenshot of the window

Are you running any kind of firewall that prevents Factorio from accessing the internet? If nslookup is able to resolve auth.factorio.com but Factorio itself is not able to then that is the most likely explanation.

Since Factorio is also unable to create a new game (multiplayer.invalid-address) that firewall blocks the opening of ports/sockets too. This should only happen with laptops that are company-owned and severely locked down or where the user doesn't have elevation/admin rights. Are you able to launch the game as admin and can you see the game list or create a new game then?

I had installed comodo and I think I misconfigured a rule in fact.

I'm sorry, but if nslookup works and Factorio isn't able to resolve the host then the problem is somewhere on your machine.

Have you tried disabling comodo and other firewalls (Windows firewall probably) you might have and tested if Factorio is able to connect then?
If you have any other devices capable of running Factorio that don't use comodo can you try them?

Comodo might be disabling any unknown traffic by default, can you set a rule to enable Factorio traffic or at least set it to ask when encountering unknown traffic?

Relevant:
https://steamcommunity.com/app/427520/d ... 2721380606
check your internet security software, for myself I had to tell COMODO to allow network traffic through. pretty embarassing, but easy to forget.

Yes I even deleted comodo

I have another computer with comodo and it run Factorio without problems

I tried to set an incoming and outgoing rule on the windows firewall but it did not work.
I may have been mistaken.

Isolate the issue:
Connect without a router, see if it works.
Connect with a different PC, etc..
