Problem with starting the game

Hey there,

I have installed the game with the 64bit-version without an error display. But after starting I get the icon in the taskbar but neither a display of the game nor an error I could tell you. Anyone with the same problem?

My System runs with win7 64bit

Hello, try this:

Open the task manager (ctr + alt + del). Lookup Factorio in the list, right click it and choose maximize.

And as I accidentally discovered my lower performance GPU worked without any special treatment. weird... But great game!

i have the same windows version and the same problem: i downloaded the demo, since these kind of games always interested me, but when i start it it simply stays in the taskbar... i tried the task manager thing but it doesn't work

I remember having this once, turned the second monitor off and it worked.

i'm on a laptop, i don't have a second monitor

edit: ok, i found the problem, it's the same that flatout 3 has: it doesn't work well with commutable video cards, had to turn off the energy saving video card in the resources to make it play...
