Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
RAM: 10 GB

Have you at any time manually changed values in the %appdata%\Factorio\config\config.ini file?
A value is set to "auto" (with quotes), but should be set to auto (without quotes).

If you don't know what I'm talking about then just try deleting the config.ini file. This will also reset all your settings and keybindings to default settings.
To open the appdata folder just press Win+R to open the run dialog and enter: %appdata%\Factorio
