I want to play multiplayer Factorio on LAN, however i get this error when i try to join a server(on both multiplayer and LAN)-https://postimg.org/image/wr92nx5bt/
I have disabled my firewall. Used both Evolve and Hamachi (The person i want to play with is on the same wifi)
I have not port-forwarded, but from my understanding you don't need to if your on the same wifi or using Evolve and Hamachi.
We are both using the same version of Factorio(steam)
**I have used "PortMapper" but still no cigar
Multiplayer-can't connect to server
Re: Multiplayer-can't connect to server
You don't need to use Evolve or Hamachi.
When you're playing on LAN/Wifi there's no need at all to do any portforwarding or using a 3rd party app, the only issue you might have is your firewall.
When playing online then Factorio in most cases automatically manages to connect host and client, if that doesn't work then you'll need to portforward.
Using Evolve or Hamachi in these cases will probably lead to a slow map download and high latency during gameplay. This is also the reason the server is not responding in your screenshot: the connection was successful, but during the map download the download gets so slow (0kb/s) that the server drops the client.
