Cannot get multiplayer working

Hello all,

I just purchased this game about 3 hours ago, and have been trying nonstop to get a server working for my friend and I. He has only ever done solo play. I am running Arch Linux 64-Bit and he is running Windows 10 64-Bit. We have tried every single combination we could think of. I have my port forwarded in my router to my computer, we tried hamachi, we tried everything. All we ever get is his name popping up in my server, and a bar filling up under "Xarren is being dropped from the game." When that bar fills up, it says in the bottom left "Xarren was dropped from the game."

If anyone has a fix, or would like to try and help, I would be very grateful!

this might be latency or connectivity issue, it if happens even on new game. also have you tried to host game on his computer instead?

if it's not on new game, but on already setup game with lot of stuff, might be also problem with his computer spec. multiplayer seems to me lot more demanding, than solo game. in this case reducing game speed usually helps.
