I expected this to have been reported previously but I have been unable to find a report describing this bug.
The current sorting of mods in the mod list isn't very intuitive because it is case sensitive.
The attached screenshots show the problem.

Re: [0.14.20] Mod sorting is case sensitive
Maybe because I cut off too much of the screenshot caused this to be moved to the mod portal discussion but this is a bug in the game not in the portal.
Can this report be moved back?

Moved from Mod Portal Discussions to Bugs.
Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.

Re: [0.14.20] Mod sorting is case sensitive
Maybe related: Same thing goes for train stops in the train schedule UI.
Re: [0.14.20] Mod sorting is case sensitive
Train stops are sorted that way on purpose else you wouldn't be able to see 2 stops with different case in the listing.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.
Re: [0.14.20] Mod sorting is case sensitive
A better solution is to rename every (case-insensitive) matching station to the case of the last station edited.Rseding91 wrote:Train stops are sorted that way on purpose else you wouldn't be able to see 2 stops with different case in the listing.
Re: [0.14.20] Mod sorting is case sensitive
We had people complaining about case insensitive compare of train station names. They use COPPER for mine, and copper for smelting and suddenly it was considered same station. We just probably need case "semi-sensitive" sort.DaveMcW wrote:A better solution is to rename every (case-insensitive) matching station to the case of the last station edited.Rseding91 wrote:Train stops are sorted that way on purpose else you wouldn't be able to see 2 stops with different case in the listing.
Re: [0.14.20] Mod sorting is case sensitive
As one of those people, having COPPER and copper close together in the list while still be considered different stations would be quite helpful.posila wrote:We had people complaining about case insensitive compare of train station names. So we have changed it for 0.15.Loewchen wrote:As one of those people, having COPPER and copper close together in the list while still be considered different stations would be quite helpful.
As for original report. Rsending said to me, he made mod sorting case sensitive intentionaly, because mixing upper case and lower case names was ugly and important information is if anything in the list has red color.
