What do you do with your wood?

I always build a wall and a row of gun turrets around my base. The gun turrets are supplied with ammo from a circular conveyor belt. I use burner inserters for this, since they do not consume energy when idling. On the inner side of the belt, there is ammo, and on the outer side, there is wood and - if I am low on wood - coal.

I took to burning paths through the forests with a flamethrower because it means I don't collect any wood and also it gives me a reason to use the flamethrower - and flamethrower ammo is a good way to use up excess heavy and light oil before advanced oil processing. But now I think that would be impossible because of the new flame spreading mechanics lol. I guess I will go back to what I did before, which was just store it in chests.
