3D mode?

I saw an article about games that resemble Factorio, and Prison Architect I saw had an optional 3D view. I know Factorio is only in alpha, but will it eventually become 3D? (I posted this on the Factorio subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/factorio/comme ... _factorio/)

Highly doubt it. Factorio can't be compared to other games because everything is running all the time so they need to cut down on whatever memory and processing they can. Not to mention ALL the game graphics are 2D images (even trains, just lots of them) which they are now upgrading to HD and all their work from now on is tweaks and quality of life. I don't think they're going to want to rewrite the graphics at this point.

Nope. BTW, the 3D in Prison Architect is just an easter egg.
