Single Infinite Ore Deposit

I recently started getting back into factorio, and while I enjoy using trains I dislike that pretty much all train stations are going to be temporary, since the vast majority are just mining depots. While there are mods that address this by making all ores infinite, I personally dislike this. I feel that this is too much ore extraction per deposit even after they become depleted, even with the smallest size settings, and even after modifying the lua files to make this size even smaller.

So, I was wondering, would it be possible for someone to add infinite ore entities, and have world generation only spawn a single one of these entities per vein generated? Personally, the only ones I need are the vanilla ores and Reactors' uranium ore, though I assume others might want to use this with things like bob's mods as well.
