Basic Cicruit Does not exist???

When I open Factorio, a pop up says basic circuit does not exist. When ever I close the pop up, it closes Factorio with it and I have opened it multiple times and it still says the same thing. I have deleted Facorio and re-downloaded it and it still does the same thing. I have also tried downloading differant updates of Facotorio and it still didn't work. Is there anythign I can do to fix this problem?

Have you been installing mods? They can cause errors like these.

On Windows go to %appdata%\Factorio\mods (enter that in any Windows explorer window) and remove the mods.
