I have been playing with two friends on dedicated server. We are all in the same geographic area and our pings are low. We are running bob's a few more mods.
The game runs fine for a few minutes. Then suddenly i get the "Server not responding" window. Other players report not seeing the "player being dropped" message on their end.
The logs show my game constantly adjusting the local latency. As the crash happens the log contains lots of "[...] Ignoring Heartbeat [...] behind latency window" messages.
See full log attached.

Looks like the server has phases of diminished update frequency. What are the specs of the server (cpu and ram)? Please upload the server log as well if you have access.
In general this looks like a server issue and not a bug to me.

The server is running on a ESXi virtual instance on my friend's server. The instance is running Windows 8.1 and has 4 cpus and 4gb ram. My friends reports the cpu usage of the instance being at 8-10%.
See full server log attached below. The log should contain two instances of me being disconnected.

Re: [0.14.13] MP disconnect; heartbeat behind latency window
Hi,
I would like to add myself and my friend to this list. What happens is when we are in game in either a modded or non-modded server, dedicated or non-dedicated, whenever it autosaves or manually saves, it drops out players.
I have uploaded my most recent log to show.

This does not look like the issue discussed here, and I don't see any peers being dropped at times of saving either. If you want to proceed then please make a dedicated report.steel86 wrote:Hi,

Does the issue persist in 14.16?
Re: [0.14.13] MP disconnect; heartbeat behind latency window
I increased size of the heartbeat window, this shouldn't happen unless the guy would be disconnected anyway.

Yeah the issue did no longer occur on 0.14.15. I did not try 0.14.16 yet.
That said, the savegame got a lot bigger in the meantime and the server cannot sustain 60fps anymore. This is an obvious change in situation that could cause bugs to stop manifesting themselves, especially with a network and timing related problem like the one we are discussing.
Anyway, it stopped happening, so this bug report is done. Thanks for your help!
