On Factorio 0.9.4, Right to bottom belts don't transport items on external side if we can't place items on left side on the next belt, when transported, they are teleported to the next belt.
That's not realistic and don't let us to put an inserter to get items from that side.

I can attest having noticed this too, and I am pretty sure I saw it in 0.9.X before 0.9.4, but it's definitely not happening on every corner with such directions.
I only noticed it for coal and iron ores, but I don't have the saves anymore to show it, sorry.
