Accidentally mining a chest

It happend me now for about 5 times, that I want to right click into a chest and instead opening the requester, it was mined immediately. The best was, when I mined a full chest of copper and when I cleaned up the cludder I put it in another near chest besides (nearly full with more copper), which then was also mined.
I mean I'm not a noob, but what do I wrong, that the chest is sometimes mined, instead opened? Is that a bug?

Perhaps I should lay mining on the middle mouse...

Maybe a problem of sticky key for your left click, or like me when it happened, the cat pushing the left click on the pad^^
