I cannot install mods through the in game interface it seems.
I just get the message:
"Selected mod has no release version"
Must be a bug, can we get a fix ASAP as it's incredibly annoying!
Thanks!

NaB*
The mod has no release version for your Factorio version, as the error message wants to tell you.

Re: In game mod install - selected mod has no release version
Yes, as I found out it's basically that.
Once I updated to 0.14 I could download the mods I wanted.
The error message however is awful! Didn't convey to me what was really the problem.

Re: In game mod install - selected mod has no release version
I think that there should be a checkbox right under the search field that says
[ x ] Only compatible mods
It should be checked by default so the mod dialog only shows mods that can actually be installed on the currently running version.
If you uncheck the box (preference stored in config.ini) you are shown all the mods available but take the risk that any mod on the list can't be installed (and yields that error message).

Yes this would be nice.daniel34 wrote:I think that there should be a checkbox right under the search field that says

But i can't imagine why incompatible mods should be shown anyway. Maybe it's better to hide them totally.
