I know that I may be just too stupid, since I just installed Bob's mod for the first time.
I installed all of Bob's mods except for the adjustable inserters mod. I started a new game and now I cannot build any long fast inserters. They also do not appear anywhere in the tech-tree as a result of researching a tech.
What am I doing wrong?
[14.0.x] Bob's Logistics: fast long inserters missing?

You need to install the adjustable inserters mod.
Research the appropriat inserters and you can change the normal fast inserter to any you prefer - like long pick up + near drop or near pickup + 90° left long drop.

Actually, you don't need to install the adjustable inserters mod, that basically just gives you more options.
if you want long inserters, there's a little button at the top of the screen that looks like a light blue inserter icon.
Research long inserters, then click that button, it will have 2 options at this point (4 in total later on)
The first is to enable overriding the default hand positions, the second will be a "Long inserter" checkbox.
Check both boxes, then all placed inserters will be long handed. uncheck the box to return to normal operation.
Point of interest though, the preview will always display the inserter's default locations, place it and it will be overridden to whatever the little drop down menu says.
