Any work around for this issue?
EDIT: Use "--start-server-load-latest" instead?

I was able to get my server started with --start-server-load-latest, but I'm not able to use --start-serverOarc wrote:Same for me. Can't host a server anymorei too am getting [Win64]

I agree... this is like... what?keyboardhack wrote:If this is true then you will have to do something about the tags added to Factorio is steam and probably other stores as well. With this change the game isn't a multi-player, online multi-player, local multi-player, Co-op, online Co-op with the 32 bit version that some people can only play with. Some clarification of this is probably required to not receive angry costumers.FactorioBot wrote: [*]Changes

We will explain it in the Friday factsbobingabout wrote:I agree... this is like... what?keyboardhack wrote:If this is true then you will have to do something about the tags added to Factorio is steam and probably other stores as well. I'm sure there must be a technical reason as to why they might have disabled it in the 32bit... Perhaps if they provide a reason?
Not that it is going to effect me personally, I play the 64bit version, but not everyone would be so lucky.
It certainly is, but Factorio is a game which also runs on quite Old PCs. And according to the steam HW Survey ~6% of the steam Users use win7 32bit.Deadly-Bagel wrote:To be fair 32 bit stuff is pretty old nowadays
You expected wrong my friend...impetus maximus wrote:i expect 0.14.11 shorty.
Think about the limitations of a 32-bit application, then think about what the devs have been working on for the last 3 weeks in the dev blogs. It makes pretty good sense. Plus, it's much easier to maintain one or the other rather than both.CrushedIce wrote:It certainly is, but Factorio is a game which also runs on quite Old PCs. I'm really interested in the explanation of the devs for this drastic decision
well, not being able to start a headless server is a large bug. they areRevenge282 wrote:You expected wrong my friend...impetus maximus wrote:i expect 0.14.11 shorty.
It may be that 6% of Steam users use 32-bit. But it appears the numbers are closer to 1% for Factorio players.CrushedIce wrote:It certainly is, but Factorio is a game which also runs on quite Old PCs. And ending the support for MP does not mean it can not work, I assume it only means that you are on your own if it does not.garath wrote:It may be that 6% of Steam users use 32-bit. But it appears the numbers are closer to 1% for Factorio players.
Factorio players have generally better/newer computers compared to steam average.garath wrote:It may be that 6% of Steam users use 32-bit. Apart from the fact that mods seem to have access to the player stats(or was it just a guess?), I really feal this makes no sense. With that many games requiring more RAM then 32bit can handle, I would have expected an over-average amount.kovarex wrote:Factorio players have generally better/newer computers compared to steam average.garath wrote:It may be that 6% of Steam users use 32-bit. [*]Disabled multiplayer support in the 32 bit version of the game.
Real. I assume you said that because you are running a 32-bit system? If so, it means the game doesn't run well in 32-bit systems, and as more features are going to be added, the issue will become worse. The devs sure have the ability to make the game runs well in both 64- and 32-bit systems, but given that only 1% of users are using 32-bit systems, it simply doesn't worth to spend time on this thing.Pasmans23 wrote:[*]Disabled multiplayer support in the 32 bit version of the game.
For real? I love Factorio, but can't help feeling more and more left out and dissapointed. I'm on 0.13.20 at the moment, and I had to lower graphics settings because it started to lag (which never happened in 0.12.35); also, the aliens build bases wherever they please, leaving some player build structure no longer stops them from nesting there. No multiplayer is another hit to the face... Not cool
The issue is over.Pasmans23 wrote:[*]Disabled multiplayer support in the 32 bit version of the game.
