I have seen a lot of people complain about mods breaking their game on the steam forum(Dont know about this one) and them being unable to start the game. I have already suggested this on Steam and it was ignored without any response.
Here we go:
If the game crashes x amount of times(Due to mods as an example), the user will get the choice to enable safe mode.
Safe mode will disable all mods from loading into the game(Doesn't disable them in mod-list.json). The game will then still allow the user to open the mod menu and delete/disable mods.
This would clear up pointless forum posts and help people that dont know that reinstalling doesn't delete the mods.
I hope that you take my suggestion into consideration,
ImPat.
Add a "Safe mode" to the game.
