can't craft electric engines?

maybe I am missing something here:

I can't set electric engines as product in chem plant and I can't get the lubricant in assembly machines

how do you build electric engines?

You build electric engines in assembling machine (it should be there as advice in the crafting gui when you hover the item).
Once you select recipe that requires fluid, the assembling machine will have pipe connection.

Yeah that worked. Kinda weird you have to rotate post placement.

Probably just a case of selective blindness.
