I would like shields to take full damage again, instead of having the armor's damage reduction traits.
As is, they essentially received a massive increase in durability, which makes combat feel too easy.
Alternatively, allow some kind of config toggle for this kind of behavior, or make shield equipment have their own resistances.

This game is about automation, not combat. Once you're fully kitted out it's supposed to be easy.
Having stronger shields is good because it means you can equip a bunch of other stuff like roboports so you don't have to keep switching between two armours.
