Hi,
we started a game with the experimental build 0.13 and did a bit achievment hunting. Building a Roboport fast for "you are doing it right".
Lazy as I am producing both types of robots, set 2 chests and 2 insterters to a Roboport. Set the Inserters to insert, if there are less than 20 of a type.
After a while we had no robots available, the insterters didn't work.
:Pole wire information', the left insterter inserts the construction robots, but the light is red, even the condition is met.
After a bit of testing, only the inserter doesnt work with the signal from the roboport. (Yes, roboport wire condition is set to read robot statistic)
I tested the 2 combinators and lamps, both reading the signal and do staff with it.
Work around: Use a combinator with the signal *1 and output it to the Inserter.
Inserter Doesn't Read Roboport Circuit

Please upload the save file and the mod folder if you are using mods.
Up to what version of the game did you observe this?

Re: Inserter Doesn't Read Roboport Circuit
I wanted to add the save, but didn't find the files. I'm using steam version, where are the autosave files?
I found the bug yesterday, tested today on released 0.13 and current 0.14.
i thought it worked 1 week ago, but not sure.
Edit: no Mods

The files should be in your Application directory, see my signature.Pompeij wrote:I wanted to add the save, but didn't find the files. I'm using steam version, where are the autosave files?

I hate Files being in %appdata%, I have a SSD for games, with plenty of sapce ... but here it is
maybe localization? Game runs on German. Or a big mistake i don't find.
Info may helping: Original a friend started the game and saves it, i just join him. (I can't open mp games, 'cause of my router i have to use from ISP)

Re: Inserter Doesn't Read Roboport Circuit
Just tested on my own only singleplayer game (started in 0.13.x experimental a week ago) and it works, possibly a fault on my setup i didn't find.aober93 wrote:I cant reproduce it sorry, im on 14.2.

Ok, if you can reproduce it let us know.Pompeij wrote:Just tested on my own only singleplayer game (started in 0.13.x experimental a week ago) and it works, possibly a fault on my setup i didn't find.
Re: Inserter Doesn't Read Roboport Circuit
If I rebuild the inserter and config it again everything is fine. Seems only in this save, something must went wrong before.
Sure, I'll come back if it happens again.
Keep going.

Re: Inserter Doesn't Read Roboport Circuit
I misunderstood you, I thought you could not reproduce using the same save in single player. I tested it myself and can not find an explanation either so I assume this has been fixed at some point but the fix does need a rebuild after loading the old save?! Or we are both missing something obviousPompeij wrote:If I rebuild the inserter and config it again everything is fine. Seems only in this save, something must went wrong before.
