Startup Freeze on Mac

I just recently purchased the game, and I haven't installed any mods, but every time I try to start up the game on my mac, it freezes at 89%. I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it to no effect, as well as looking for possible solutions in the forums. At 89% an error message pops up and tells me to post this link in the forum /Users/myname/Library/Application Support/factorio. Obviously the myname part is my irl name.
