How does the logistic auto trash work?

My off-hand guess (having not played any 0.13 yet), is that you set a number of a given item type, and any of that item type you have on you beyond that number are taken away to storage by the bots.

I'm not sure if i got you right but you might mean the auto trash thingy in the character GUI where you put things in and your log robots grab and store them in a normal logistics storage box ( that light brown one )?

Please make tooltips to explain these things. Tips and tricks and somewhat hidden, and many players have disabled them.

thank you for adding this feature! was tired of walking around with ore, and iron sticks.
i remember being disapointed setting the logistics slot numbers to 0, hoping the logistic bots would remove them.

seemed pretty self explanitory to me when i saw it. couldn't research it fast enough.

Yeah I can't say I had difficulty working it out. Go to the tab, hmm there is an empty square. Doesn't let me drop something in, that's silly, probably a clicky thing then. Yep, here's the item table. Go away wood. Odd, I've still got a stack in my inventory. Oh hey there's a number next to the wood in auto trash, set that to 0, there they go.

How detailed an explanation do you want? Any sort of guide would need to be step-by-step (as it's all pretty simple so it's kind of all or none) which would be pretty chunky for a tooltip. And as an experienced player I don't want to have it explained to me at all, so where do you put it?
