[0.8.8] Fog Glitch

I have this error where when I walk, fog starts appearing everywhere except on the borders randomly in a grid like pattern. I've tried turning off both fog and clouds, and going down to low quality. If I alt tab the game has no fog and looks fine until I move again. Is there anything I can do to fix it? Thanks.

Thanks for responding. I'm on a HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC in a alpha version of the game.

Hi, what platform are you on? Could you post a screenshot?

Could you try the low-graphics option please? Also how much video memory does you gfx card have?

His computer is equped with Nvidia GeForce GT 230M which has 1GB of dedicated Video Memory.
But I suspect that Factorio might be using built in graphics support in Intel Core i7-720QM Processor instead of Nvidia GeForce. This reminds me to other problems pepole with CPU built in graphics have reported so far.

I changed my CCC settings for anti-aliasing and ansiotropic filtering to "use application settings". Now no fog!

Wait you changed CCC settings? When you say CCC you mean Catalyst Control Center?
If that is true then you don't have Nvidia graphics card but sintead ATI/AMD probably Radeon.
