How to hide the gui

Is there any option to hide the GUI overlay so I can see what items are in my chests?

Hiding the overlay isn't enough, as the logistic icons will happily scroll off the screen (and jump around crazily making them impossible to read). The problem isn't the gui, it's that window. Hopefully that's just a placeholder for what they'll have eventually.
