robots not picking up something they can not store
Something that really annoys me are robots from stationary roboports picking up stuff that I mark for demolition even when they have nowhere to put it, because there is no storage place for it. Especially when I do have personal robots and wantet them to do the deconstructing. Why not prioritise the personal robots when deconstructing if there is no storage space for the stationary ones? What good does it do, when there are construction robots just floating arround with an item they can put nowhere.
Re: robots not picking up something they can not store
Do you know what: What really annoys me are, if robots from my personal roboport are ging to pick up stuff for construction, even if it is super clear, that I only have one empty stack left.
Because the hassle you got, when they try to put the items in your inventory and you cannot do any more is really one of my most annoying moments with Factorio.
Hm.
What is needed here is some simple switch that controls, what kind of robots should pick up the next (de-)construction.

Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.

Re: robots not picking up something they can not store
I agree with you, but that another matter. stationary roboports picking up stuff they can not store, and personal robots pickting up stuff you have no inventory space for are different things.
In my case, stationary construction robots that are (for example) only ment to repair you walls are picking up stuff you deconstruckt right next to them, but they can not store is, because the robots network is not ment for storage and contains no chest, only far away chest or only specific chest, like space for repair packs, walls and turrets.
Why not condition the robots of any given network to only pick up stuff they are able to store within this network? if i put stuff in my personal trash to be picked up by logistic robots, they will not do so unless there is a chest to store it. Why ist the behavior of construction and logistig robots not the same?

Uhm, ok. But the point is, you cannot have both (you: prefer personal bots, me prefer network bots) at the same time.Vetinary wrote:I agree with you, but that another matter. stationary roboports picking up stuff they can not store, and personal robots pickting up stuff you have no inventory space for are different things.
