Is there anyway to fix this save?
It was saved on .13.6 steam and I couldn't open it tonight in .13.8 steam. I downloaded the .13.6 standalone zip, and couldn't open it there, either.
No mods.
(July11.zip is the broken save, July7.zip is one from a couple hours earlier that opens.)
Thanks.

Re: Broken save
Thanks for the report and for providing both saves.
I have spent some time investigating the corrupted and wasn't able to determine cause of the corruption nor way to recover the save so far.

Re: [0.13.6][posila] Broken save
With what version of the game was the map created originally?
Re: [0.13.6][posila] Broken save
Originally this was created in .12.35, it has been played in .13.4, .13.5 and .13.6. (For both working and non). Also, this is a single player world.
Correction, this was not played in .13.2. I went from 12.35 to 13.4 because I was working major overtime when .13 came out.

Re: [0.13.6][posila] Broken save
If it was not played on 0.13.0, it is not the bug with rock migration. Tiles are corrupted, but in a way I haven't seen before. I cannot tell where corrupted tiles end and where entities start, entities might be corrupted too.
Re: [0.13.6][posila] Broken save
Looking through the autosaves, I discovered that the autosave 55 seconds before the bad save actually loads.
I'm able to play where I left off, so I don't know if you want me to upload that save or simply close this and assume that it was save hiccup (I'm not sure how to reproduce the error at all).
Sorry for not checking the autosave earlier!

Re: [0.13.6][posila] Broken save
Yes, upload the autosave, please. I'm still trying to figure out what went wrong and the autosave might help. Thank you
Re: [0.13.6][posila] Broken save
Here's the autosave. I don't think I did much in that minute other than walk back to the fortified area and inventory management.

Re: [0.13.6][posila] Broken save
Thanks
I tried to unzip the corrupted save in something different than Factorio and I got CRC error when unpacking level.dat. So ZIP itselft is broken. No wonder I couldn't make sense of data Factorio was reading.
I can't tell why ZIP got broken, it might be HW issue, it might be something else (for example Steam Cloud synchronization error).
I'll put the report to 1/0 Magic for now and will keep an eye on save corruption bug reports to see if this happens more often.
