15fps
15fps
Hey guys,
My game has been acting weird lately, it starts off normally with 60 fps, but then after a while it just goes to 15 fps, and stays there but when in go to my other monitor (I have 2) it will render at 60fps. Does anybody know what is up?
My specs are:
Core 15 4440
AMD r280X
8GB of ram
installed on a SSD
(youtube link for example https://youtu.be/MMbu51hduzE)
Greetings

Re: 15fps
I've got the same issue. But I'm down to 5fps, unless I click on one of my other monitors, I'm up to 60fps again.
My specs are:
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T
16GB RAM
ATI AMD Radeon R9 200 Series

Re: 15fps
It seems that by upgrading to the beta-graphic-drivers, the problem is solved. I'm now running 16.7.2 of the Radeon Drivers, and I can now run Factorio again at 60fps in fullscreen!DeeWoo wrote:I've got the same issue. Re: 15fps
Does anybody have any idea how to fix this?
I have the latest drivers installed, and the latest version of factorio. Have tried uninstalling and re installing.

Re: 15fps

Re: 15fps
Do you have G-sync (or AMD alternative) monitor? If so, can you try to disable G-sync for Factorio?
Re: 15fps
I don't have a G-sync or FreeSync monitorposila wrote:Do you have G-sync (or AMD alternative) monitor? If so, can you try to disable G-sync for Factorio?
EDIT: I have uninstalled the game, tried different versions and did the same for my AMD drivers. Nothing worked

Re: 15fps
Thanks for doing the experiments. Do you have Steam version? If you do, try to set launch options in Factorio properties in Steam to
Code: Select all
--force-d3d

Re: 15fps
Plays.tv application cause huge lags and closing a game if OpenGL used.
Also fps drops to 30-40 if camera zoom out (with OpenGL)
Force OpenGL should be false by default if it possible.
Anyway its releated more to radeon drivers, they have huge issues with 300 and partially 200 series drivers, especially OpenGL issues in some cases.
In my case i have R9 380 and best way for me was to disable Force OpenGL, now i have stable 60 with any zoom and no issues with Plays.tv.
