Hi,
Is it normal that electric poles from 2 differents forces are connecting together if the force are friendly ?
ex:
create force1, with player1 in it
create force2 with player2 in it
player1 build an electric pole1
player2 build an electric pole2 close to pole1 : the 2 poles connect together...
Then if you change the stances, poles are still connected between enemy forces... and share the same electrical network, even if the two poles are now enemies (note that player1 cannot deconstruct pole2)
more than that :
you do the same actions than before, but player1 build also a laser turret1 just after pole1. Turret1 does not attack player2, that's ok.
But then forces became enemy : turret1 still does not attack player2... strange...
if turret1 is build after the forces became enemy, then turret1 attacks player2 (which is correct).
note that even if you build the 2 poles poles after the forces are becoming enemy, poles are still connecting... not practical for PvP : if you build too close from each other, you mix electric networks...
electric poles connecting between different forces ?

Re: electric poles connecting between different forces ?
Is it possible to disconnect the two networks using copper wire, when the two nets are joined and on opposing factions? What about by deconstructing poles?
I think the turret thing would be considered a seperate bug (since it isn't related to the power poles at all, behaviourally), and seems similar to the "peaceful biters" situation.

That is intentional as I remember it, if you are in PvP you need to look after your power grid or the opponent may steal power from you.

So, if you want to attack your opponent base, you just have to build a power pole close to his walls to steal his power and build a range of laser turrets to fight his defenses... Seems a bit odd, no ? Not very realistic.Loewchen wrote:That is intentional as I remember it, if you are in PvP you need to look after your power grid or the opponent may steal power from you.
I'm not sure that the turret bug is not correlated. Because if player2 does not build a pole (and there is no electrical network mixing), and player1 builds a turret and then becomes enemy, then the turret1 that was friendly starts to attack player2 correctly.

The same goes for belts and rail as well. I don't think PvP is or ever will be viable for this game anyhow.binbinhfr wrote:So, if you want to attack your opponent base, you just have to build a power pole close to his walls to steal his power and build a range of laser turrets to fight his defenses...
