I had sorted the mod portal by Downloads Descending and installed a mod. After the restart (different bug/suggestion already posted) and loading the mod list again it's reset to the default.
Very minor issue.
Mod Portal doesn't save sorting options

I can confirm that the mod portal does not save the sorting setting after you leave the portal. Tested with 13.3.
