[13.3] Multiplayer Vanilla Instant Desync

[13.3] Multiplayer Vanilla Instant Desync

Hello,

As requested in viewtopic.php?f=11&t=27481 since the problem still persists in 13.3 I'm posting a new thread about the instant desync loop.

This is what I did:
1) Downloaded 13.3 ZIP version from factorio.com
2) Unzipped it and renamed the first folder so it had a "2" at the end of its name, then unzipped the second instance which had the original zip's name
3) Launched up the first instance (without the 2 in its folder name), went into Multiplayer / Load, this is when the game made the save directory in its install directory, then I placed the original 12.33 starting version, 12.35 saved version savegame in the save directory
4) Pressed "Back" on the Loading window, then reopened it, now the save showed
5) Loaded it in with default settings, only changed the hosting mode from online to LAN
6) After loading the conversion report appeared, so I closed that
7) Launched the second instance of Factorio and went into Multiplayer / Play on LAN
8) Selected the game the first instance was hosting, then clicked on Join Game
9) As soon as the second instance loaded it instantly got the desync
10) Waited until the desync report was finished, then forcefully ended the processes from Task Manager as nothing else seemed to get me out of the loop

11) Since you said you loaded up the desynced-maps from the desync-reports and you couldn't reproduce the desync I tried doing so as well, and quite to my surprise it worked like a charm, I copied the desynced-level.zip into the first instance's save folder, hosted it via LAN, joined with the second instance, no instant desync...

Definitely seems to be a work-around in this case. Regardless you might want to check out the original save that I uploaded to see if you can reproduce the desync on that one.

Hello, is this fixed in 0.13.4 ?
