A Different Kind of Main Bus - A modular programmable CPU

This board is to show, discuss and archive useful combinator- and logic-creations.
Smart triggering, counters and sensors, useful circuitry, switching as an art :), computers.
Please provide if possible always a blueprint of your creation.

Docs, Tools, and Blueprints

Detailed machine notes are in the file FactorioCPU.md, which is a MarkDown file (aka reddit and github formatting). Open it as plain text if you don't have special tools for MarkDown.

The CPU .blueprint file was exported by Foreman and the ROM is a script I wrote to generate ROM layouts in combination with the Google Sheet assembler. The CPU *should* be compatible with the blueprint string mod as well, but the ROMGen will require my "allow scripts" patch to Foreman in order to do it's thing.

Loading and manipulating this blueprint WILL slow your game to a crawl (even just having it in a 'live' blueprint). Clearing the blueprint will restore performance. Actually building the thing will also cost you a few UPS.

Mods required:
  • Nixie Tubes
  • Color Coding
  • Foreman
The flying text in the screenshots are leftover from signposts that got removed in 0.12->0.13, and are not in the blueprint.

I can make a de-colored version of the blueprint (and/or floorless) if desired, to only require Nixies.
