Cannot unlock steam achievements

I have played freestyle game and campaign and never unlocked any steam achievements.
For instance in the campaign I have build locomotives in the first level where you can build them and then even when I went on to the next level I never got the steam achievement for it.
I also researched oil in more than one freestyle game but never got the achievements.

Version of the game: 0.12.35.
I have no mods.

Not a bug: Achievements will only be achievable starting with 0.13, which will be released this monday, June 27. If you are using Steam you'll need to opt in to the "experimental" release.
