How to correctly transmit water.
Transportation of water over long distances by the help of the train. It is then pumped to the pipes and tanks. Then for quite a considerable distance is sent pumps and rurarmi to the next tank. He then goes on to the boilers. It znczny decrease transmission of up to zero. How much of pumps and how to set them up, so it all worked.

Re: Water in pump
Wait...back up. Why do you want to move water over a VERY long distance?
There is a mod to transport fluids by rail.

Steam engines require an ABSURD amount of water. How absurd? A single engine can consume 6 units per tick. That's nearly 16 barrels PER SECOND. For ONE steam engine. It's not going to happen without mods.
Run your steam power directly from the water source.

Definitely easier to transport Coal than water.

False. It's 0.1 units per tick, 6 units per second, 0.24 barrels per second.bobucles wrote:A single engine can consume 6 units per tick. That's nearly 16 barrels PER SECOND.
Re: Water in pump
There is thread on forum with water flow calculations. To maintain high flow value you should use underground pipes and pump stations every X pipes (each underground pipe counts as 1 or 2 normal pipe so it have lower flow reduction / distance).
