A filter which filters what items can go in or out of the storage warehouse would be awesome. For instance I use a lot of storage chests for the huge space, but the logistics robots tend to drop in random random stuff.

That sadly needs to wait for devs update. Only way to get filters now is to pretend that your entity is a cargo wagon. Thanks for the hard work and nice mod but is there any way you can set it so that you dont have use an inserter to put reso in to the warehouse that would be cool to use.

Honestly, i'm not going to do a warehouse that automatically picks up items like the slipstream chest, however, either you can ask the author if he'll build something for warehousing, or you can load slipstream chests directly from the belts and then use inserters (and their stack size bonus) to quickly load warehouses

Hey Anoyomouse, You should release a quick fix, because the locale folder for spanish isn't "es" alone, it's "es-ES", the "es" variant won't work.

Also, you encoded it wrong, it has to be "UTF-8 WITHOUT BOM" otherwise it fails to load the mod.

Logistics storehouse has 300 slots and is 3x3. But 9 storage chests give you 432 slots. So you get more storage from chests than storehouses.
Logistics warehouse has 2000 slots and is 6x6. 36 storage chests give you 1728 slots. So you do get 272 extra slots = about 7x6 chests in a 6x6 space.
But I don't understand the storehouse. Does it add something else beyond using 9 chests? At least for logistics-based storage. I can see how it is handy to have one big chest for inserters (and also the warehouses / storehouses look really cool, so there's that ).

Would it be possible for you to add a longer version of the store house? I would like to be able to string together construction going into and out of the building.

Hey can you change one of the blocks that the mining posts place down, instead of the passive supply chest can you make it the active so we can remove the items by inserters?

Thanks for the translations, i need to figure out what locale this is, but just on that note, factorio does support accents (it's using UTF-8) so you can add those in if you want!

Honestly, didn't look at how many slots there are in the storehouses vs standard chests. I do know there's issues with many larger inventories, so maybe not going to increase the number of slots, let's go with them being cool and allow you to pack lots of inserters around them

More advanced answer is that the API doesn't actually let me add things like that, and even if i did the game will lag considerably while the chest sorted, so, yeah, not going to look at this until they let mods do more advanced things via the API.

I think I went overboard with using it though. My factory is very dependent on the warehouses for buffers, sorting, and mining to where I have around 500 warehouses. Unfortunately my game has gone down to 20 fps . I saw your post in viewtopic.php?f=49&t=20393&start=10 and was just wondering if its the movement of the materials through the warehouses causing the lag or if materials just sitting in warehouse would cause the load as well. If its the former then its a rather easy adjustment to buffer stations. which 90% of my warehouses are. It seemed like a good idea at the time to make a line of about 25 warehouses where materials are injected at the top warehouse and the materials flow to the bottom warehouse to be ejected to the assembly line.
Would switching to the same storage volume of 500 warehouses to X number of steel chests / rail cars even help with the load on the game client?
If you dont know any of these questions I shall be testing tonight!

From what the devs were saying it's when an inserter places an item into the warehouses they have to iterate over every slot before putting the item into the warehouse
technically if you place the items using an inserter into a smart chest and use a smart inserter to extract large stacks into the main warehouse for storage that should reduce the lag quite a bit.
Items sitting in the warehouses shouldn't cause lag on their own however, yif you disable all inserters the game should run back up to it's normal TPS / FPS
if you want to test it out and let me know your findings i would be greatly interested in knowing the results
