I just joined for the first time, "experimental" didn't work for me but choosing version 0.12.30 and connecting to sugaming.us (no port number) did it. Good luck .mv.koski wrote:

How odd to get an instant desync when connecting. I didn't think that was possible on vanilla.

Just for anti-grief prevention, (this needs fully Re-Researching everything from start!)
When your online, use:
/c game.create_force('Your Team name here!')
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
If you can use this command, and the following to:
Then join it, BE SURE TO NOT STAND NEXT TO A ALREADY BUILD TURRET OR SO, IT WIL KILL YOU!,
Use this command to join your Own self created team:
/c game.get_player('Your name here!').force = game.forces['The Team name you created here!']
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This wil make yourself enemy to everything that's already build, and getting build by NON-TEAM players from you,
And for an additional Code, i almost never use, but quite usefull, it wil Ally the other team if exist's to your's, so the don't kill each other,
Followed by an example,
Example of Team-1 <- you & Team-2 <- friend:
/c game.forces['Team-1'].set_cease_fire('Team-2', true)
And for a Custom Spawnpoint (only for yourself!) you should use:
/c game.local_player.force.set_spawn_position(game.local_player.position, game.local_player.surface)
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
The only thing i am NOT sure of by this command is how it wil function after you rejoin by 30+ minute's..
Sometimes it reset's or wil do weird things, non-damaging server things tho!.
This is special written for this server, as griefer's make easy to grief sh*t!,
Also, with this, Griefer's have like 5% Chance to grief any base's Depending on how good there put there turret's and defence's..

This as a anti grief system wouldn't really help or solve anything. If anything it would cause more issues. Currently with factorio commands are all or nothing meaning everyone can use them or no one can (including myself). This is something that will most likely be changed in future updates. Also this system has a few significant flaws like someone putting turrets around the spawnpoint and camping people. Gah that's my fault and my sincerest apologies. I thought I had fixed the issue but clearly not. I'm confident I fixed it this time so it shouldn't happen again. Wish you would've informed me of the incident on steam, irc, or teamspeak the moment it happened so I could've fixed it and rolled back immediately. Unfortunately because players had already started on the re-restarted map I'm not going to rollback to the previous map as this would just create more distress. Once again apologies this shouldn't happen again, in the rare case it does please contact me using one of the methods previously mentioned as that's usually where I'm most active.Reverend wrote:server restarted and erased everything at 3am

If latency is set to 150 could you bump it to more like 250 please? 150 is great for the whitelist server, but we've had scattered delay issues most of the morning. A bit higher latency might smooth that out for everyone.

Sheesh. Now we've got someone with a 15+ minute map download. At least he left as soon as he connected, lag skyrocketed even worse.

Had some bad lag here when I joined (player 7). People started sh*tting all over the place. A little later they left and it stabilized. Maybe 7 ppl to much?

We had 17 players on the modded server one night, so it shouldn't be the # of players alone. Maybe it was me or Raytronic that was the weak network link just now, who knows? (Edit: Or the guy whose name started with C, I see he left too.) We had 5-6 people at "as fast as single player" speed before you had joined though, is why we asked you to leave. Normally if someone joins and the performance dies at the same time, it's because of that person's connection.
We had problems earlier with someone who was lagging the server each time they joined, they admitted they were playing from the Ukraine so we suggested they try a public EU server instead.

The guy with the C joined back soon after, no problems there. There must have been a bad link between me and 1 other person.

So I just tried connecting, no mods enabled, no firewall blocking, updated game, and "could not establish network communication with server". I won't keep spamming it, but I doubt it is even getting to your server. I can get to your server though, I pinged it and got ~50ms, so not sure why I can't connect. Your site also says it is up too. Gl.
