steel bar??

Hello guys.. Simply.. i can't create an iron bar... i have done the research about the steel but.. nothing.. i can't create.. what i can do??

You can't craft steel yourself, you have to smelt iron plates to create steel. Just like you have to smelt iron ore to create iron.

No problem, I had the same problem when I first played. And I think a lot of other players have had the same problem.
It also took me a while to find out you can smelt rock to make stone blocks.

Yes, there were many players who had this problem, and this will be solved in 0.9.
In the crafting window, even iron/steel/copper and all recipes will be visible, but those that can't be crafted manually will have tooltip showing that it is done in furnace.

Or do it "Not Enough Items" style ?
Press "R" when mouse is on top of an item, shows a window with how to create that item.
Press "U" to show what can be crafted with it ?

or if ya don't want to copy not enough items, use different default keys


tbh i think only the recipe key would be needed
