How are you supposed to take down these biters bases?

These pics were taken in the sandbox mode but I assume I will see the same thing in freeplay. The map was created with the default settings. I can't even fathom how I would be able to do anything against these enemy bases with dozens of large worms and biters.

Combat shootgun with piercing bullets. Also use power armor with shields and exo-skeleton. Oh, and use luck.

Fully equipped with power armor MK2, shields and a bunch of destroyer robots, literally NOTHING can stop you. In the midgame I use also power shotgun with piercing bullets with "normal" heavy armor (dont forget the upgrades for damage and shooting speed)
